This visual interpretation of a provided poem brings to life the fantastical arrival of Winter and its accidental discovery by a curious bear cub.
Inspired by the poem’s subtle references to Winter’s arrival, I aimed to depict the season in a unique and mystical manner. Drawing from phrases like "a blanket of snow" and "a sheet of ice," I interpreted these images literally, building my narrative around their evocative qualities.
A young bear cub proved to be the perfect protagonist, endearing and inquisitive. To complement the cub, I introduced the graceful Winter eagle as an unexpected counterpart. The cub’s curiosity, which leads him out of his cozy den, is meant to inspire young readers, while the mother bear embodies comfort and safety throughout the story.
The interplay between the bear’s warm hues and the Winter eagle’s cool tones creates a magical atmosphere, capturing the wonder of the season’s first snowfall.
